Individual therapy
We all experience times when life feels particularly hard, and the stress is too much to handle alone. Whether it’s stress from work, family, romantic relationships, major life decisions, or past traumatic events, individual therapy is a great place to turn for support. Engaging in therapy provides you with an opportunity to learn more about yourself and to develop healthy and effective strategies to handle what life throws at you. Therapy also provides a safe space for you to decompress and process your thoughts and emotions.
Authentic, active, collaborative, and non-judgmental best describe my style as a therapist. I enjoy the complexity and uniqueness each person brings to therapy, and strive to help my clients accept the wonderfully-flawed reality of being human. In an effort to foster growth and change, I seek to increase my client’s sense of agency in the world and explore what role they are playing in their life. Gaining awareness of what we have the ability to control (i.e., thoughts, feelings, behaviors) creates a starting point for change.
